Hey everyone

I have been lazy recently. I have no good explanation for why, either. It's not as though things haven't been happening.

• I got my car back from the repair shop (three months after my wreck put it there);
  
  
• I attended a talk yesterday with Michael Honey, who wrote a great book on the Memphis Sanitation Workers' strike and how it played into the events surrounding Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination (he was supporting the Memphis strikers when he was shot);
  
  
• I attended a rally last weekend supporting Resurrection Health Care Workers in their efforts to organize a union (by the way Gerry McEntee is a helluva speaker)
  
  
• I've been working on efforts to plug local democrats into the campaign to reform Illinois school funding;
  
  
• I generally have been rockin' out.
  

Now, I bring all of these things up not as a way of proving how awesome I am (it's self-evident), but as a way of explaining my tardiness in making regular posts on this webspace.
